Sad Animals

by Tricia Middlleton
Montréal, QC

In 2008 I received a professional development grant from the Canada Council that allowed me to work directly with 3 artist/writers to develop some critical feedback on my studio practice to date. the intention was not only to produce texts for potential increased dissemination of my works, but to allow a time of direct engagement, conversation, and critique that would hopefully lead to some next level development on my part. Tricia Middleton is one of the artists i selected for this project and i remain grateful to her for her willingness to participate. The questions she brought to me lead to a better defined line of questioning on my part and rigourous discussion and delight in sharing references and resources.
